I love the cabin, very clean with everything we need. Very spacious, huge yard it’s pretty impressive. The instructions to get on the property was easy to follow it. Extremely close to DC yet very quiet seems like another world. They are reachable by phone and answered my questions and concerns very quickly. The only complaint that I had . Was wishing the door downstairs gave me access to the hot tub. We have to walk two flights of stair. And the fire pit is awesome but far from the house when I said far I meant when you have drinks and too much fun to wanting to get up and walking up the house. The beds weren’t made. But the clean sheets were laid in each bed. I didn’t mind it. Also, make sure to read the email's instructions so you can have everything you may need it. I went for a girls weekend but it’s suitable for families and kids. I highly recommend this place!

One of the most beautiful and well taken care of Shenandoah Riverfront cabin rentals.

This beautiful cabin in the Shenandoahs is situated on the bank of the Shenandoah River. Incredible privacy, gorgeous surroundings, and all the amenities. The cabin is super clean, well maintained, and well managed. I enjoyed a much needed getaway with close family. Waking up to those spectacular mountain views, enjoying that first morning coffee on a spacious deck, and exhaling with family...it just doesn't get any better than that.

We had a wonderful time! Acres of land to run to around or roll around (as our 3 boys did). The cabin was clean and stayed warm when it was freezing outside. I definitely recommend stopping for groceries prior to arriving, as it's a little bit of a drive and you won't want to leave!

Papa Bear's River Cabin is the BEST!! If you are looking for seclusion in nature on the river on a vast piece of property, look no farther than Papa Bear's. I've been here twice now and will continue to visit for years to come. it feels like having my own private river with acres and acres of privacy. My hubby and I bring our kayaks and load them into the river directly from the property. Going upstream typically has a stronger current (especially on windy days) but is very relaxing to float back down. Conversely, you can have a nice, easy float downstream first and a relatively easy to moderate paddle upstream (again, depends on wind and water levels). My husband has caught lots of fish from the property and from his kayak. The hot tub, fire pit, and massive wrap-around deck are ideal for relaxing in nature. If you are facing the river, you can take a little nature walk to the left. It's filled with wildflowers and tall grasses so bring your bug spray. The house is well-stocked (a ton of spices and herbs) and has super cute decorations. The lighting is superb and the massive windows provide an excellent view of the river. The owner, Bonnie, is super nice and easy to communicate with! Tips/Suggestions for Traveling Here: - Bring your own kayaks/canoes/rafts. No water equipment or toys are provided. - Bring some 2 or 3 person games if traveling with a small group. Most of the provided games are for 4 players. - Bring 2-ply toilet paper if that is a thing for you. One bathroom had 2-ply but the other had single-ply. - Bring a fan if you need one to sleep. The only one I found there was broken.
