Avoid this contractor. We contracted for a 700 sq ft addition for a study, master bedroom and closet. Also siding and metal roof for the existing house and addition and stone facade in the front. We had to sue for breech of contract in Polk County Civil court for 36,000 awarded 10 Aug 2020. We terminated the contract after 7 months, a little over 50 percent work complete, poor workmanship, mismanagement of customer funds and unethical business practices. We had to hire another another contractor to to fix Simmons work and complete job. The foundation work lacked finishing the crawlspace floor, drainage provisions around and under, vents, sump pump, and other. Only order half of metal roof and improperly installed. Sided entire house with no provisions for stone facade work. Electrical rough in had to be totally reworked. Simmons had rolling two week excuse for delays. He was contracted to provide six lien waivers refusing to provide any of the waivers or any documentation how he spent customer funds

We can’t say enough great things about our experience. Remodeling is never fun, unless you have an amazing crew and leader. We had severe water damage to 1/2 our house. They did an excellent job. We had the best carpenter ever! So thankful we found them. We feel safe and solid now

I would never recommend Simmons General Contracting! They promised me my remodel would be done in 6 weeks...4 months later I’m having to hire others to finish and fix what they did/didn’t do. They constantly lie and make up excuses. There was no oversight and no time management. I hired them to do the job I didn’t have time to do. I would have save time and stress by hiring individual tradesmen to do the work.
