Can't believe how quick and easy it was to get my emissions test and get my registration renewed. Fully expected each part to take up to two hours. My emissions test was less than five minutes and renewing my registration was less than three minutes. In and out in about ten minutes. The staff was friendly, too.

At the end of a long week (and especially during a pandemic!), one of the last things anyone wants to do is go get their emissions test, but the woman who helped me today was an absolute delight! Not only super fast/efficient, but one of the most friendly people I’ve ever met. Highlight of my week, to be honest! I only wish I asked her, her name!
The Illinois vehicle emissions team has really upped their game. I was in and out with little wait. Most of the bays were open and active. Gone are the days of spinning wheels and cumbersome processes. You get your results quickly. If you need to renew your registration, the office is open and it took minutes. Nicely done!
