I called first to check on inventory and pricing for skis and boots for my family of 4 in preparation for several upcoming ski trips. We had previously been renting our gear. We drove 30 miles anticipating new boots, skis, bindings, helmets, goggles for the family would be about 3,000. We were met by a nice young employee, but they were not able to give us the level of expertise and guidance we needed to see us through to a purchase. It seems like a fairly nice store, with a fair amount of inventory. I highly recommend asking for a manager or ski professional if you plan on dropping any serious coin, and you have questions. We purchase all our gear at Fitzharris. They offer quality equipment at a price that is affordable. They've done their research and I'm very happy with what I have. I prefer to support smaller brands that are more sustainably sourced, and/or purchase used. I've been able to do both at Fitzharris. The sales people are knowledgeable and when I ask nerdy questions about the backpack I'm considering, they can share their personal experiences, who the company is, how they started, and where they have located their factory. Bottom line- Fitzharris is a local gem.
