Best pet store in ST Joseph. People that actually care for the animals more then the money. As every pet store should be but often do not. Good knowledgeable people often stand and talk with them for hours about animals because they actually care. Support you local business when possible. Pet smart/Petco don’t care for you or the animals. They cant even set a cage up correctly for a species on display tells you how much scrap they are feeding you to sell something they more often then not knowing nothing.

Excellent customer service, and beautiful creatures. You can tell the owners genuinely care about the critters, and the enthusiasm they have in their work. When you support a local business, you are putting food on the table for a local family who is passionate about what they do, and are proud of it. When you spend your money at a monopoly (petco, petsmart, etc), you are contributing to the billions of dollars already in the capitalist’s pockets. I didn’t exchange many words with the employee, but you could feel the devotion to the animals and her work. Divine experience. Support local:)
I first stepped foot into critters as a young boy. I used to spend hours having Mike teach me about marine biology and fish keeping. Mike and Cathy are good people and extremely knowledgeable. They will not sale you things you don't need and are more then generous to help you with whatever critter you choose to become roommates with...
I believe that the lady that helped me is one of the owners of this store. She made sure I was getting the right fish for my new tank, and recommended that I wait to establish my tank until I get the rest of the fish I want. She really cared about making sure I had fish that were going to survive. I will buy the rest of my fish from this store, for sure
They actually have good looking meal worms and crickets unlike other animal places
