Great offering by a nice family business. Best way to get to an undeveloped key without your own boat. Good shelling and swimming. Bring a umbrella if you want to escape the sun.

Have driven by this ferry so many times on the way to the beach at Fort Desoto. Glad we finally took it to Shell Key. The boat crew were great with my kids, very friendly and informative. On the return trip from the island the boat crew talked to my kids about the different shells they had found. A great experience and worth the money.

As a part of our recent family Christmas reunion our group of 23 adults and children booked the Shell Key Ferry which is operated by Hubbard’s Marina. We were a little uncertain how much we would all enjoy the adventure but it turned out to be a huge hit with everyone! Captain Todd and Robin definitely added a tremendous amount of value to the entire experience in many ways that we didn’t expect. We especially appreciated how they both engaged very personally with us and took an interest in our children. Space is too limited to describe the dolphins we followed and huge white pelicans, the Outback sandbar where Captain Todd took us in addition to Shell Key and, of course, the pristine beaches with their myriad shells and sand dollars. Suffice it to say that our family made that rare kind of memories that are the best to remember!

Capt. Zip and Tony were very fun to ride with; pointed out dolphins, talked about birds and manatees, and made sure that everyone was doing alright. Played some great music along the way.

Shell key is great! Saw sting rays and great view all around. The boat ride was awesome too. The Capt. took us to watch two large pods of dolphins on the way back, my kids loved it.
