University of Virginia a historical landmark itself and on the lawn the Statue of Homer. Blind poet with heart of a lion in expressing his views. The feeling of being able to know about this great man is just incredible. Author of Odyssey (Trojan War)my childhood favorite book. I'm a Trojan (USC grad). So much to learn so much to give. I'm grateful to have visited this statue an absolute blissful feeling. Thank you!!!

Lovely statue at the end of the Lawn opposite the Rotunda, right in front of Cabell Hall. When it snows, people sometimes build a large snowman next to it which I like to think would be named \Snowdysseus\. Unfortunately, some vandal stole the instrument that Homer's student was holding from the statue :(

Elegant and majestic. I'm just glad that I'm not the little boy.

Neat area of campus to explore. Saw where Poe stayed too.
