The hype about the milkshakes/ice-cream is real and the guys running the station were really cool. My family and I were apprehensive about visiting due to some of the negative reviews, but we're glad we stopped in because we had a great experience and conversation! Fields Station is the closest gas point aside from Burns and is a convenient stop if going to the Alvord Desert. We caught them too early to try their famous burgers, but overall it was a neat stop on the way back to civilization. Give them a shot, maybe try the marshmallow milkshake, it's dope. Everyone nitpicking truly doesn't appreciate how difficult it is to run their business as far out as they do.

Excellent service. Stopped by to get fuel after camping at the Alvord playa. Pump and pay gas station with amazing milkshakes. Had a good conversation with one of the owners. Everyone had an awesome and friendly attitude. I highly recommend stopping here.
I appreciate all the work and effort it takes to run a business in such a remote area. I’m amazed at the food & services out there. I’ve been to the Station many times and they never fail to be hospitable and welcoming. Thanks for just being there let alone being an awesome spot. See you folks again when I’m passing through!
They get a one star review because there is no such thing as a zero star. We were rudely treated by bad attitudes and not very kind employees. We saw other customers with milkshakes and they were still making more milkshakes but they insisted that they couldn’t make us any food. Highly disappointed to be rudely treated at a small place that is supposed to be so welcoming. Would not recommend this place.
My dad and I have been to the fields station several times on our treks through southeastern Oregon and it's always been a fantastic experience. They'd have the best burgers and shakes in town even if they weren't the only burgers and shakes in town!

Always friendly staff and great food and milkshakes! We enjoy the two hour drive out there several times a year for a yummy treat from great people!
I wish I could give them 10 stars. We had some tire trouble and everyone was so accommodating. Luckily we had a room booked so had a comfortable place to stay while hlep arrived. The owners/staff even stopped by before leaving for the day to check on us and make sure we were all set. Food was delicious and Motel was great! A real gem with great people!
