Great school, one of the best around, it's located close to my workplace. I have been going there for on and off for 5 years. One of the originals, Kurt and Amariah are great people with tons of knowledge to share on the martial arts. Oh! And their two twin daughters are adorable. The school offers many great arts which is displayed on many films such as the Jason Bourne films, Book of Eli, John Wick , and many great other action films. The school is MKG which is Sifu Rick Faye' s organization. The lineage is traced back to Guro Dan Inosanto. You have to sign up and check this school, because it offers Jeet Kune Do/Wing Chun, Filipino Martial Arts, Muay Thai, and Panantukan (Filipino Boxing). This is a school you do not want to miss out on. You are talking to a guy whom has many years under his own belt. LOL! Definitely come and meet Kurt, Amariah, and the entire MKG family. And of course as mentioned their two daughters.
Love it here. I've been going here 2-5 days a week for several months now. Very open to both experienced Martial Artists and completely new beginners (like me). There's a couple advanced classes you have to test into as well. Also very good at promoting local events and seminars spanning a variety of different Martial Arts.
This MKG is one of the up and coming open minded training facility in Wayne County. Its brings a lot of great character and a unique style when a student step into a gym, ready to trained. It gives a good positive energy unlike other gyms. A student will learn a effective self defense system. You leave the gym with a smile and cleanse spirit.
