One of the most beautiful drives ever. The tunnel is an amazing man made feature and has an occasional opening to quickly see outside. It’s also the only way from the east to the west and vice versa.

One of the most insane things you can drive through. I went in my truck, and on motorcycle. Sometimes there is a wait for larger vehicles but you never wait for more than 5ish minutes. There are no lights, and some cutouts in the side. It's pretty long, and very surreal in the tunnel. Definitely a must try experience. It has to be one of the coolest things I have ridden through on a motorcycle.

Part of the drive... the western side is the most scenic. Prepare yourself to wait in line...

Ok, so most reviews about things people post are usually 50/50 or you have try it out yourself. I’m claustrophobic and this was NOT bad at all. In fact, this was FUN. Yes it’s one lane. You have to wait in line for the state rangers to direct traffic one way (for everyone’s safety). No light inside the tunnel, however there are several lookout (stay in your car at all times) windows and use your headlights and tailgate your neighbor as a guide out. Is it really a mile long? (Felt very short). Also, you don’t have to go through this tunnel twice to experience all of Zion, with your vehicle. In all, to experience the god like scenery of ZION, you must go through this tunnel.

Tunnel has no light and quite long. Also quite narrow so had to take off my sunglasses very quickly :). No stopping! It has a few openings on the side as you drive through it you can have a quick glance outside. You can see the openings from the side of the mountain in the pics I took after getting thru and at the bottom of the mountain.
