We arrived at our camp recently and on the day of our arrival a Fedex truck took out the telephone line. We called Tidewater and reported the problem. We went grocery shopping and when we returned it was up and working. Fantastic service, highly recommended.

My family pays hundreds of dollars a month for a 10mbps speed that is actually only 2mbps according to tests i've run.

Not very friendly with bringing a community to higher internet speeds, requests that everybody in the town to agree before they move forward, these guys need to understand that this is 21st century and that technology exists that is even faster than Cable Internet. They state that they offer fiber but supposedly its not available in my area even though there is nodes to provide it. They don't budge on expansion and their tech support has no brains and are not friendly with tech conscious individuals like myself. WAKE UP Tidewater Telecom. The governor and senators should know that these guys don't appreciate helping certain people to grow to faster speeds.

Overpriced, not helpful, not flexible at all. We signed up for their fiber optic services and had to sign a 3 year agreement. If you want to suspend your service seasonal you can't cancel because of the agreement but you can shut it down for half the monthly fee so basically it cost you 50 per month to get absolutely nothing for 6 months. So 300 for zip. Every other provider I've called provide season shut down for either 0 per month for 6 months or 5 per month for up to 6 months. Oh by the way there's no month to month option and if you do decide to cancel - after your 3 year agreement - and then turn it on again it's 100 for them to do NOTHING. It's all installed, modem in place but they want 100 to flip the switch. In 10 years we've never had a good experience. We've just switched to Hughes Net which is now available in the midcoast 60 a month, 6 month services suspension for no fee, 2 year agreement, no install fees, no activation fees. Oh by the way some of the reviewers below that gave 5 stars work for tidewater - Thrasher for one - internet technician tidewater telecom.

Why cant we choose zero stars?? Horrible company. Two guys came out to install fiber. One guy kept wanting to re-invent the wheel to get the job done. I told him I wanted to keep things simple. After deciding they could put the \box\ inside, they started pulling the cable. After this, he tells me he is going to mount the box to the table. Mount it to the table??? What a moron. Put holes in my furniture. That's what this retard wanted to do. I told him he was not going to put holes in the table, so they decided to leave. Is this customer service?? I got home that night, after having wasted my morning with these guys, to find my TV was broken. The manager of tidewater says they will do nothing to correct the situation. I am out time, money, and a TV. Be warned people. This is a company you don't want to get involved with.
