Service to quality and attention to detail all five stars. The restaurant creating something great here starting from the decor of a real Japanese restaurant without much English. The mustard on the Katsu was money. Really brought out the flavor of the meat The tenderloin is less fatty meat , while the pork loin is more fatty (I would compare it to a rib eye on beef). I liked the tender loin better but both were excellent! The pickles were really good and the experience of grinding your own sesame seeds is great. Highly recommended

Perfectly deep fried pork chop, shrimp and oysters in this fames Japanese eatery that takes reservation only, had to wait 3 days in order to get a seating but it's certainly worth the wait. The workshops were tender juicy and delicious, and the crispy battered shrimp taste better than any other shrimp tempura. This is a must eat in Waikiki if one has a few days to wait for a reservation. I will definitely be coming back again on my next visit to Honolulu
Best quality Tonkatsu on the island. Even the chicken katsu is top notch. I love the Miso Soup and rice options. You even get options for the sauce. A normal Katsu sauce and a sweet one. I mixed both together because I couldn't decide which I liked better. Make a reservation. There's parking in the basement of the center.
The best Katsu I've had. The breading is perfectly crispy and the meat is so tender. Absolutely delicious.
Terrific food and service. This place was full up and for good reason. The katsu was simply the best I’ve ever had and the variety on your plate really makes this meal an experience. 10/10 would recommend.
This place is absolutely worth any wait. This is the best tonkatsu I've had anywhere. The food is fresh, freshly prepared, and the sauces are outstanding.
Best Tonkatsu I've ever had. Be sure to get the tenderloin. Great service and friendly staff. Must make reservations at least a week in advance. Can usually find parking in First Hawaiian Bank next door after 6 PM.
Sold out for the entire day when I arrived shortly after 11 am when they opened. Ordered carryout. The Katsu pork and shrimp - Delicious!!!!
