I recently tried to ship a suitcase from San Diego California to Chicago to obviate carrying the bag to New Jersey and then back to Chicago on a commercial air flight. UPS delayed shipping the bag to Chicago for two days and it arrived on Saturday morning into a locked facility that was not open until Monday. I had to leave for Tbilisi Georgia on Sunday with no clothing other than the shirt and pants that I use for the previous four days. The suitcase was supposed to be expedited to my hotel in Tbilisi Georgia. The suitcase, interestingly, landed in Atlanta Georgia identifying this organization has no idea about geography. My staff spent at least seven hours on the phone with at least nine different contacts in The United States and the country of Georgia for UPS. I received multiple messages that the suitcase would arrive immediately at my Marriott hotel in Tbilisi. These were all fake news. My suitcase ended up in a customs facility in Atlanta Georgia with UPS having no skills or knowledge about how to expedite and have a suitcase arrive internationally. There was not a single person we spoke to that was identifying the problem and trying to solve the problem. I have no idea how this company has survived. There is no central operations, there is no problem-solving, there is no customer service; how is this a successful business model when you’re competing against multiple other highly skilled organizations? I will not use this organization at any time in the future and highly recommend that your shipping services should be routed to one of the competitors who provides much better customer support and is focused on solutions.
United Parcel Service new worker can't learn the route by my home yet. This is the second week's delivery she prefers to drive around in the heat all day and not look at the box except to tilt it & complain it's too heavy. The UPS worker who always had my home's route before her read my box each time & delivered my package to me on time. I get weekly packages of raw fragile farm eggs & other delicate perishable food like that. I do not live near the airport. I'm not sure why they brought it all the way back there. On the phone like last time the woman at UPS main number said keep the phone by my ear that she will call me back shortly. As before still no call back to me yet. But she also said on phone UPS main that she is making sure my food will always get to me in proper condition & that her name is Casper, so I'm guessing the reason it's at the airport is because it was 93 on Friday & she's arranged for it to be returned to Pennsylvania & all my future deliveries not to wait till after 6pm when the driver already knew from my in person conversation with her that my community gate closes when their office day is over Monday through Saturday. It's so hard so far with her, I put easy to read notes up for her as does my shipper, but when I spoke with her she cares not really at all, maybe she's unable to read & defensive because of that.
Use USPS if you can. Enough said...
Excellent, Dependable service !
Been here over 10 yrs. It has went down hill and continues. Upper management is unorganized and lacks in leadership skills that trickles down to the working groups. You have minimum (2) transfer options that are based on distance to a school of higher learning or moving outward past 40 miles from hub. Seniority barely means anything at this hub vs kissing up or been favorited by managers. They lack heavily in communication with operations details.
