Manorcare by far is amazing. I have been an employee of some major rehab companies (Marquis, Empress, Prestige, Genesis) and am amazed at how amazing the care and staff are at Manorcare. ALL the staff genuinely care about the residents. Management makes decisions based on what is ethically right and not what is financially right. The company advocates for quality patient care and are always willing to lend a hand to help out

My husband, recently broke his hip and was released from hospital to Manor care for PT&OT so he would be able to return home. He was there for a week and did amazing. The entire staff was incredible. The place was clean, the food was excellent. The took great care and respect for my husband. With Covid-19 I was unable to go in and be with him, but was able to visit thru the window in the courtyard and even able to bring his puppy. We highly recommend this facility to anyone needing special care. Thank you Gerald and Beckie Lundblad

My grandma was sent here to recover from a stroke. She was placed in a bed and left to sit there. Her mental health deteriorated greatly, and even though she was beginning to get better before she left the hospital, she went right back down after arriving here. She fell out of bed twice, and had to be sent to the emergency room both times. They did nothing to fix the problem, even though she cracked her skull open, and broke her back. She also broke 4 ribs, resulting in a punctured lung, and she needed tubes to help her breath. The medications they were giving her were making her slowly go insane as well, they weren't the correct medications, but they didn't pay enough attention to notice. She could've been a lot farther along in her recovery had she not had gotten hurt, multiple times, in this facility. The staff was rude and it was a lot of trouble to get her in, get her out, and even have things sorted out while she was there. Don't send you loved ones here, its not worth all the risk.

Terrible facility with a terrible head nurse and neglectful staff. My grandma was sent here to recover from a stroke. They simply laid her in a bed and left her there. She tried to get out of her bed twice and fell, and had to be sent back to emergency both times. Before being sent here, her mental state was improving from the treatment she was receiving at the hospital. After coming to this facility, they provided zero care and just let her sit in her bed. No rehab. She was starting to mentally decline due to the lack of interaction from the staff. And they call themselves a care facility. They should call themselves a death home.

So far so good. I love that the doctors, therapists and staff communicate my husbands plans for recovery. It has been a good experience.
