We took my cat there on November 11 as he started to decline rapidly. We were recommended by our vet in Wellington. We ended up having to put our sweet 17 year old cat to sleep. A sad experience, but, the staff at this facility could not have handled the situation better. I know 100% they led us in the direction best for our cat. It became apparent it was his time. The care my cat and my husband and I received there, in my eyes would have been unmatched anywhere else. We are grateful for this incredible professional and caring staff.

The team at VSH is amazing and I am forever grateful to them for saving our baby girl cat. A couple of months ago our 1 year old cat began vomiting on a Friday evening and wouldn't eat or drink water. We brought her in on Saturday and the doctors at VSH went over our options and we decided to do some outpatient care (fluids and some medicine) to see if she might be able to get better without surgery. She continued to have issues through the weekend and Monday morning we decided to go ahead and 'hospitalize' her to have X-rays and potentially surgery. We were very scared and anxious as she had not eaten for 2.5 days and had started losing a significant amount of weight. The team got us in super quick to see her and did their best to make us feel better. Later that afternoon, I got a call from the doctor explaining the results of the X-ray and the recommendation for surgery (looked like she had a 'foreign body' stuck in her stomach). We agreed to the surgery and they even let me come in and go to the back to see her before she went under. After the surgery, we got a call and explaining that the surgery went well and they were able to remove a string from her stomach that she must have swallowed and was not able to pass by herself. After the surgery, they had to hold her a couple of nights to monitor her vitals and make sure she was recovering properly. They were amazing at keeping us updated and making us feel better about her recovery. They never became impatient with us calling to check on her and would even give us a room with her so we could visit as long as we wanted. The kicker was pictures and emails from them every night which was so sweet and reassuring. Now it is almost 3 months later and our little girl is back to 100%! It is comforting to know that there is such an amazing team so close to us that is always open. If we ever need services that aren't available through our normal vet or during off hours we will not hesitate to be back.

In August I brought my dog in for knee surgery. When I received the dog back, his leg was shaved so rough that it scabbed up. They said he had sensitive skin.... yeah, I'm sure that's why he had blood in line with the lines the clippers made....! His entire snout was wet and discolored from the tape used to hold in the breathing tube. I truly wish they'd have taken a little time to clean him up. The staff, though nice I guess, puts off this vibe of just treating the animals like numbers. Now, the other knee needs work and I'm taking him to a different specialty vet.

My kitty, Riley, was diagnosed with large cell lymphoma and my vet referred me here. Dr. Cameron and the veterinary staff took amazing care of him throughout his course of chemotherapy. He sadly passed recently, and this week, I received a very touching sympathy card full of handwritten notes by the staff at VSH. Thank you, VSH, for your kindness and compassion, and for giving my boy the extra time he got on this earth.
