Sorry but really did not like anything about this place. First I will start with saying I have eaten a lot of homemade Syrian food. I don't know what this but it was but it has a spice that Manoun must really like but I really hated it and so did the friends in my party. I also felt it was very overpriced. I ordered the chicken kebab platter and included both rice and salad. The price was 13.99 I could not eat the rice and neither could the other people in my party. The salad was okay. The chicken was really really dry. I also ordered what was supposed to be an unsweetened iced tea because I look for a low-calorie beverage option. they did not offer club soda or seltzer. Again I could not drink it and neither could anybody else in my party. I went back to the girl at the counter who told me that they have unsweetened iced tea and I explained to her that it is spiced tea. She didn't seem to know what I was talking about. I told her that it is not drinkable but that didn't seem to matter. What a waste of money. I realize that they're just Kids working in their first job but they should be trained to know what they are selling. I normally eat anyting. I should have taken a picture of the teeny iced tea because it was 3 which is also way overpriced even if I could drink it. All in all I'm really sorry that I tried it because my bill was 19 41 for a kabob platter and 2 beverages and totally not worth it. Here is a picture of the chicken kebab platter but we had eaten a couple of pieces of chicken out of it before I took this picture.
The platter was great and the perfect amount of food. Service was friendly and fast at a good price.
I am so happy to have a Mamoun's close to home. I used to go to the store on St. Mark's and this is exactly as I remembered. The food is fresh, delicious, and not too heavy. You get good portions and they have a nice variety of specials. The staff have all been friendly and I haven't had to wait long to get my order for take out. The store itself is large and open with plenty of seats. The parking lot can fill up with all of the businesses in the strip mall/on the same land, but it's easy to access right off of Route 35 and you can connect to Allaire Rd. through another parking lot. Totally recommend stopping at Mamoun's, we've needed something like it in the area.
Excellent super clean authentic food. Thank you for the wonderful experience and for bringing your healthy lovely restaurant to the Jersey shore. Everything is amazing just make sure u save space for the desert.
UPDATE FOR OPENING DAY: Food was amazing! Service was excellent! There was a customer directly in front of me who was lip reading. The Manager came over to take her order. I speak American Sign Language and was going to assist... However, the manager was persistent to make sure she had the women's order correct. She took her time double and triple checking... All with a huge smile. This was a wonderful sight to see! This place will always have my patronage! REVIEW FROM BEFORE OPENING DAY: Didn't look like they were open yet..... However, the door was open. So I walked in and asked if they were open? I was greeted by two super friendly guys who said, "Wednesday.... But wait! Let me give you some coupons and a menu." We talked a little but further and I left. The fact that they were still setting up and acted like I wasn't bothering them.... That is worth checking this place out. Positive attitudes are hard to come by!
