Fantastic environment. M4Arts is a unique establishment in the heart of DC. Humble, conservatory level faculty with teaching styles approachable to any level and age. Susanna is responsive, extremely engaged and cares for each client even if they are not her private students. She continuously brings in world class faculty and caters to every age for both private and group lessons. All of the faculty here care about their students. The organization supports music through all avenues including collaborations, masterclasses and yoga classes.

This is a great place! I was in need of formal cello classes as an adult learner and found this very engaging but unpretentious place where I did not feel intimidated or negatively challenged to do my best. The general approach for teaching music feels accessible and very didactic, and teachers are very approachable and polite and professional. Everyone seems to work towards to a common goal of inspiring people into artistic endeavor, and regardless individual goals that may vary among different students, the approach is based on respecting the needs of individual students who range in different ages and in their time constrains to dedicate to classes. I am in my second semester and happy to support this business. My cello teacher is simply phenomenal. Other teachers are great lecturers so far. And the owner is a competent, hands-on, hard working, engaging music teacher who values students not only as costumers but as potential artists who may carry the name of this institute with them in the future. It has been such a great experience and I am happy and grateful that I can make the most of it.

M Institute is a tiny gem in the heart of a big city. With its new location in the Dupont Circle area of D.C., I'm absolutely confident it will continue to grow in stature and reputation. There is a totally unique ambience, blending elements and atmosphere from the old world style conservatory with a contemporary twist. The President and CEO is fabulously talented, and the quintessential professional. This boutique arts institute will enjoy a great future, and I express my sincere congratulations as well as extend my warmest wishes for continued & well deserved success!

I had a fantastic voice lesson with Thomas. He took the time in the beginning of the lesson to understand my goals and clarify the best path to take for the lesson. He was collaborative throughout the lesson and got me to think about the physicality of my instrument which helped to improve the consistency of the sound. I thought the lesson was well worth it and would highly recommend the M Institute.

As the piano technician for M4Arts, I have had much interaction with Susanna, all of it very positive. Last night there was a superb master class at the school. The instructors were world-class pianist Thomas Pandolfi, cellist Emma Johnson, and Metropolitan Opera soprano Tracy Cox. Mr. Pandolfi worked with two pianists. Emma counseled a violinist and a cellist, while Tracy, like the other two teachers, showed vast pedagogical skills as she helped four sopranos and a baritone. In addition, she sang beautifully while demonstrating. Mr. Pandolfi closed the whole wonderful evening with a magnificent and magisterial performance of three Chopin etudes, the \Revolutionary\, the \Aeolian Harp\, and the \Ocean\.
