Awesome experience!! We stayed 3 nights and the cabin was perfect! We took a couples retreat here to get away and this was the perfect place. It's only 15ish minutes from downtown, but tucked away enough that you still get the mountain cabin experience. We made friends with our cabin neighbors, utilized the hot tub and the fire pit! The cabin was extremely clean and i loved that it had a kitchen, fireplace, washer/dryer, and front porch swing. We will be returning soon, and with family in tow!

We had an amazing stay at Laurel Mountain Retreat! We stayed in Elks Path which was perfect for our family of 4. The kids loved the hot tub and we loved that we could bring our dog! Loved the special touches such as coffee pods, dog bowls, toiletry samples and dish/laundry starters. It really had everything we needed for our stay and Kathleen was so friendly/helpful and was always quick to respond. We would love to come back and fill all the other cabins with family/friends!

The Laurel Mountain Retreat was an amazing experience! The cabins were modern, clean, and private! The location is a perfect blend for those that want to be in the wilderness but not completely isolated. We felt very safe here. Each cabin had a private patio and personal hot tub...BONUS! and a cute wood patio swing and table to enjoy morning breakfast while enjoying the fresh autumn air and changing leaves (just learned we are called “leaf peepers”). Note that I said cabins (plural) because we stayed at the Laurel Mountain Retreat TWICE in one week (yeah that’s how good it is!) we stayed at the evergreen cabin for three nights, and then ended up cancelling/refunding our downtown Asheville hotel to GO BACK to the laurel mountain retreat to stay at the elk path cabin. Kathleen the owner is amazing, answering the phone late at night to help us find the cabin, and being super flexible in offering another stay for us. This whole experience has been magical, and we have nothing but positive things to say about Kathleen and the Laurel Mountain Retreat. We’ll definitely be coming back next year!!

The cabin was everything I expected and much more. My husband and I stayed in the Red Bird, which was great for us, it has everything you need. You get the peace and quiet you are looking for and an amazing green view. The fact that the Red Bird is the last cabin on the row also gives you a little more privacy, which we liked. The decoration of the cabin is also lovely. Overall a great choice when you want to get away and we will definitely be going back.
