Very good experience with knee replacement surgery, overall. Dr. Pappademos inspired confidence and demonstrated competence. The nursing staff was consistently caring and comforting. Physical therapy has been personal and helpful. The overall experience was successful and restorative to my health.

Dr. Shepherd and his P.A. Tom Swan are the absolute best in the business! They are efficient and astute as to any difficulty with which they are confronted. I’ve seen them interact with elderly people as well as children and teens. Dr. Shepherd and Tom relate perfectly on every level, making sure their patients are comfortable and understand everything about their individual situations. I have trusted them completely on more than one occasion and would not hesitate to again!
Dr. Pappademos and his P.A. Jamie are very attentive to the patient's concerns and address them in a professional and friendly manner. I am very grateful for the detailed discussion of my X-rays, the current condition of my operated knee, medication and possible future developments. I trust them completely and highly appreciate the level of their expertise.
The staff was courteous and friendly. Dr Lucas was personable and answered all our questions. Even though he saw us on a busy day, he took time with us and didn’t rush. He even called us later that evening to check up on my daughter. I highly recommend Advanced Orthopedics Associates!
Overall the experience was positive. I was asked to arrive early to get initial paperwork completed. This was expected as I am a new patient. What wasn't expected was the 30 minute wait to be called after my scheduled appointment time. Once in the exam room I answered the health history questions the nurse had and then was taken for some xrays. The tech was pleasant and thorough and efficient. Upon returning to the exam room there was a short wait for the doctor. Dr Shepard was very professional and showed me some possible irregularities in the knee implant that I had done at a different clinic by a different doctor. He explained the issues and the options completely and answered all of my questions thoroughly in terms that I could understand. I know that any subsequent visits will be handled differently since I am now in the \system\, no new guy paperwork. I appreciated the candor and the explanations of the issues and options.
