IG @GoWanderWithUs We stayed at the RV park in our RV almost a week at the end of October. It was kind of in the boonies, which we liked alot.. Pretty quiet- seemed most people were away during the day. Went on some pretty drives and hikes nearby, not connected to the park though. Good area for walking dogs. Didn't come across any other dog messes, so people must cleanup well after their pets there. My photos are not from the park itself, but from the areas nearby.

Could not ask for a better place to stay. This cabin had everything. Refrigerator, A/C, heat, microwave, Dish network TV, hot water, dishes, silverware, big coffee pot, outside grill, picnic table. Very clean. I know I'm forgetting something. Miss Kim is very nice to deal with.
We decided very last minute to find a camping spot for two nights of the weekend. Kathy was very friendly, said she looked full but let her check. She called me right back with an open spot for the weekend. Very easy to register over the phone. Great weekend!
What a great place to escape for the weekend! Drove in from the Dallas area taking I-30 to New Boston. The drive from New Boston to Wickes was very pretty. The cabin we are staying in is just perfect! Kim, the owner, was super nice and helpful. The setting is beautiful and it feels like we are in the woods with no one else around us. Location is perfect - only 2 miles from the state park visitor center and river. Could not have dreamed of a better place to escape for the weekend. The cabin is precious, bed is comfortable, AC is great with a remote control, and there’s a cool little loft that sleeps 4 more people (kids would LOVE it). Outside area has 2 chairs and a picnic table, a smoker, fire pit, and a grill. The porch has 2 chairs and a bench. We brought way more stuff than we needed since so many of the things are provided. I have stayed here twice, and it’s one of the beautiful little hidden gems in Southwest Arkansas. A quick trail ride will take you to some prime skinny dipping holes, prime hiking, kayaking, and even fishing. The owner was a real nice fella, I would recommend this place to just about anyone.
