2nd favorite ski hill but close tie for first. If you like park stuff, this is the place to be hands down. If you like a good mixture of easy, fun, and challenging runs - then this too is for you. VERY Family friendly. And, you just want to come back in the summer for all the water filled excitement too! Definitely check it out see what’s up. (P.S. it’s a MN ski resort that is BUSY on weekends - just like everywhere else. So don’t be surprised if there are occasional long lift lines. Weekdays really are better if you’re able to)
Solid choice for skiing and snowboarding in Minnesota. Other accolades... they always treat my son's alpine race team well and my husband and I had an awesome snowboard lesson from Logan this past weekend. Never tried the tubing, but it looks fun- especially the lights at night. Step away from your screens and get outside- go to Wild Mountain.
Cool ski area! Wild Mountain has some steep terrain, good for ski racing. Wild also has more terrain than some of the hills in the Twin Cities area and its only an extra half-hour drive. I've been here tons of times and it is a really cool place to ski. However, masks and social distancing could be enforced a little bit more because when I visited in January, there were quite a few people not putting their masks up. Overall, it's great for everyone from beginners to racers and that is what I like about Wild Mountain.
Grew up skiing at Wild. We’re a family of 5 just getting back into the sport. Went for the night skiing during the week since it’s cheaper and less crowded. Staff was friendly, helpful in the rental Dept and explained the sizes and levels of skiing for equipment. Can leave your shoes inside the rental area here. Masks need to be worn inside, but are understanding when outside. Hills are green, blue, and black levels. Chairlifts are 4 seaters which is nice for the boarders. Lower level hills can be a bit crowded with people and a few times people came really close to us. With a new skier would have been nice to have wider hills. But nice place to still go.
