Fulfilled craving for tasty steamed crabs! Ordered a dozen #1 males ahead of time and picked up about an hour later. Located around a residential neighborhood and staffed by friendly folks. 5 hours after I got home, finally finished methodically eating 8 crabs and picking the meat for the remaining 4... I didn't realize it takes me about 20-25 minutes to eat one crab... not sure if that is slow or average. Anyways, a bit pricey (compared to #2, which was sold out) but they were all between 5.5\ to 6.5\ in size and all the meat was firm and tasty. The only thing is that I would request a bit less seasoning next time. Will order again when craving steamed crabs...

I searched high and low for some crabs that day and so glad I came across Vern & Steves. Crabs were out of this world, priced just rite and in a convenient location. My #1 Crab Spot!

I had high hopes with all the great reviews of this place. Loved the location, tucked away in a residential area. The staff were extremely friendly and organized. The food; however, was under par. Ordered over 130 worth of crab and shrimp. Most of the crabs were hollow and/or mushy inside, and the shrimp were very overcooked and salty. The best thing going was the cocktail sauce. i don't even like cocktail sauce, but tried it, and will say it's the best I've tasted. Perhaps the crab season isn't the best right now, but 130 is a lot to take another chance on this place again, so I'll pass.

Well this was my first time taking crabs from Vernon & Steve.... simply loved it!!! Highly recommend it.
