The owners of this establishment are wonderfully, kind-hearted individuals who know how to make you feel comfortable. I've unfortunately found myself in a situation where it left me temporarily 'homeless'. I have called around to many places and did not give a care about my situation. But not these people. They gave me a temporary place to rest my head until I could get back up on my feet. And what's more, they allowed my dog as well. (the very few places around here that allow them) (Now before you ask, no I cannot leave my dog while I go to work but that's ok because she has a wonderful doggysitter and gets to hang out with her best friend 5 days a week!) Whether you're only planning on staying a couple of days to visit the lakes and mountains of New Hampshire or plan to stay a little bit longer, please consider this place. Great people, great atmosphere, comfy beds and to die-for pillows (I like lots of comfy pillows to cocoon myself into as I sleep).

Recently updated, clean, and very friendly staff! Love the extra little decor touches! The host of the facility was very friendly and accommodating, making the check in process and stay very pleasant. Fairly close (15 minutes) to a variety of restaurants and things to do! Thanks for the cozy room in a beautiful lake area of New Hampshire!

Spacious, comfortable, completely renovated rooms. They include a keurig, microwave and mini fridge. Free wifi, which actually works great, cable and much more! The new owners, Kevin and Charlene are the best hosts we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. And we travel a lot. they have done a fantastic job remodeling the hotel, property and restaurant. The food is amazing. Looking forward to the new community fire pit and horse shoe pits to open. We have already booked our next two visits. I can't wait to be back at the trail! Our new home away from home. If you are planning a trip in the area I highly recommend booking your stay with these folks.
As part of our bucket list, we wanted to fish on Squam Lake but needed an affordable, clean, safe rental... Yankee Trail Motel more than fit the bill. It was clean, smelt wonderful, hot, strong showers, welcomed us with flowers, pillows top bed, microwave, room refrigerator, soft towels, and a great housekeeper... Sandy. Visit Charlene and Kevin... you won't regret it!
The owner greeted up personally and welcomed us to our room. She gave us a fantastic restaurant recommendation. The room was clean, and warm. It was very conveniently located to I-93 (close to Franconia hiking trail & others). The decorations were thoughtful. The room had a keurig and free coffee. I would definitely recommend this motel to anyone can return!
Motel has been totally renovated and the new owners treat you like family. We can't wait to try the restaurant on out next visit. Highly recommend this motel
