Appreciate what you have, you signed up for this. You could be living on the streets or back home. Nobody wants to be stationed here but guess what? There’s still a mission that needs to be done. The housing employees are doing the best they can despite the criticism they are receiving. Learn to appreciate why you are here and humble yourselves.

Absolutely the worst housing experience I have ever had, outsourcing to this company shows a complete lack of concern by the military housing office. I completely understand not having control over a housing shortage however customer service is something that is under there control. If you are unfortunate enough to have to deal with Balfour Beatty Communities do not expect any kind of support. It seems as though they only have 1 individual (Don) running the program, who is never available or even willing to return a phone call. It seem as though they know you have no other options and take full advantage of that. Poorly managed, no communication and lack of consideration for personnel and there families.

This is a review but also a warning for people being stationed at Altus and expecting to live in base housing. What an awful experience, from customer service to false promises and absolutely no accountability by the military housing office. Base housing has been privatized by a company named Balfour Beatty who is just the worse to deal with, just look at the other reviews here, I wish they were exaggerated but there actually quite accurate. Unable to return phone calls or provide updates, then when you call them to ask for an update they act as though you are bothering or inconveniencing them. Especially the Belfour Beatty Grouch at lease thats what me and my wife nick named one of the rudest people there, if your unfortunate enough to have to deal with this person good luck. Lodging days will expire and you still will not have a house or even an estimated date as to when one will be available. I PCS’d into Altus in Sep and still don’t have a home. I just don’t understand how leadership (supposedly our family) can allow our people to be treated like this and get away with it. Even during the most recent WG commanders call Belfour Beatty was recognized as doing a great job. Perhaps for them they are but for the rest of us at the bottom, having to deal with rudeness, attitude unsafe living conditions and additional expenses it is not. Simply put it is unacceptable and needs to change, if there was an option for less then 1 star I would have selected it.

Utterly disgusting attitudes and retched costumer service. I stopped by countless times to have my hedges trimmed, and my yard kept better. They told me that’s how it is and they have no control over it. Then, I get a letter from the commander about how “let go” my yard is, mowing, hedges overgrown, so fourth. I don’t have a fence, and there’s nothing ever left in my yard...These are all the things Balfour Beatty takes ALL OF MY BAH to supposedly pay for. This is the worst military housing company all around and it’s worst here than I’ve ever seen. I hope y’all get fired and loose the contract. This is not worth 912 a month. I’m done. No where else do they take ALL your BAH. This is such a rip off. I can have a mortgage cheaper.

Some of the worst housing management I’ve ever dealt with, and if you look at the positive reviews, many of them are from Balfour Beatty employees. They never answer their phones, they are rude and don’t know how to talk to people. Whenever there’s an answer and i try to contact them I can never get a hold of them. The Air Force needs a new contract. The only people who are helpful whatsoever are the maintenance folks.
