My father spent the last 21 months of his life at Anthology (The Village) moving there only after he was unable to care for himself. We found the staff, congenial, loving, careing and understanding of the needs and wants of a nearly 100 year old man who prided himself on his independence and freedom. They made him feel special as they celebrated his life. The facility was always clean and well maintained. During the COVID lockdown they maintained a safe environment and enhanced communication. We thank them for their care of him.

If you love them then this is NOT the place for memory care (MC). My mother lived there for 15 months (2 years in Assisted Living). We installed a camera after 10 months in MC since we suspected care was not at promised and within days our suspicions were validated. We attempted to work with management without much luck. They don’t care enough to make changes. We tried to no avail to get them to honor the contract and follow the care plan. It was a constant battle and we could no longer keep my mother somewhere that did not treat her as “family” as they advertise. Avoid them to avoid heartache. It would take more than a management/name change to fix the problems here. It would take a mostly caring and thoughtful staff, not just a select few. 15 months is more than ample time for this business to care about their mentally disabled patients that families have entrusted them to care for.

After doing extensive research I placed my mom in in Anthology of Denton(formally The village). That was about a year ago. The handling of the “pandemic” situation has left me knowing that she’s in good hands. It’s very clean, the staff are upbeat and always attentive and helpful. That’s from the front door to the back. I will definitely recommend anyone looking for an exceptional place to examine this one.

I am currently a program director for a Veteran nonprofit. We go to assisted living/nursing and serve Veterans lunch, do arts and crafts, and share stories. I must say that I am more than blessed to be the program director because it led me to find this wonderful place. I had met with the Activities Director, Ms. Allison, to set up our dates for the year and instantly knew that I wanted to be a part of their volunteer group on my own time as well. The laughter and smiles of all of the staff and residents was one of the most heart warming experiences I have ever had. Over the years I have been to more than 60 assisted living centers and this is by far in my top 3. It is such a beautiful place and there is always something fun going on and by far they have the best Activities Program I have ever seen! If I could, I would give them 10 stars!
