I wanted my 13 yr old son to learn some self defense so as we were going down Sugarloaf Pkwy coming from the mall, we noticed the karate things outside the building. We stop and went inside to see what was going on. After watching the class, I was convinced that this was the place to be. Not only did I sign my son up for classes but also my self after watching Mr. Larry move around thinking that I can learn Karate as well. The classes are well taught to where you can understand them. If you never ever learn how to fight, Mr. Larry will teach you. You will also get a history class as well from all the people he has been into contact during his fighting karate years. As you move up in belts you will learn more of the different styles of karate. There is this guy that claims he knows boxing. When I reach black belt, I want to know how much boxing he knows. I can't wait to be Black Belt.

BEWARE! You will get sucked with a year contract – paying 125 per month. How can you determine if your child will continue to have any interest in Karate after a few months? What happens if you child no longer wants to go? You WILL be throwing money away like I did. Go to Hebron Karate program in Dacula. They charge 30 per month and they have a better program. We enrolled earlier this year, and the underage employee advised that we can leave at anytime without any strings attached. Not reading the fine prints, few months later I asked Larry (the owner/instructor) about parting and he said that I’ll have to go through Member Solutions. Member Solutions – who handle their billing, etc. told me that there is nothing they can do. If I break my contract, I’ll have to pay 80% (800) of the balance (1000). I had to. They take the money out of your account monthly. Every month they have “graduation”, which costs 25 to attend. My child did not even earn another belt and he said that if we pay the 25 for graduation he’ll get his yellow belt. Larry, the owner comes around with a form to enroll in these graduation ceremonies. He bombards you. Their schedule is NEVER on time. Then there is the yearly “championship” Basically, my child received several medals and gigantic trophies for showing up – at a cost of 75. The overall quality of learning sucks – they spend more time “playing games” than teaching the kids. Emily (teen teacher) shows preference to Hispanic kids too.
