I've had several things repaired at Boston Shoe Repair. Shoe heels to belt buckles and a leather purse strap he can repair it all. Always fast, friendly, and does a wonderful job. Very responsibly priced.
This is hard to share this review as the gentleman is very nice and courteous. I had a couple pairs of my favourite boots resoled here last week and the quality of the repairs were very disappointing. This was my first time seeking out repairs and I went with reviews and his years of experience. I paid for the repairs but will not return, lesson learned on my part. As I can tell this is a dying trade and I value the art of repurposing as this world is wasteful. There is another shop in town I'll use as they come highly recommended.
The loops came undone on my Irish setters hunting boots. I took it in for repair and ask for him to remove the loops and put holes in instead and he pretty much destroyed my boots. Instead of removing the loops, he just cut the off, made lots of cuts into the shoe, didn't sew it back together. He even glued the laces to the shoe. I told him he destroyed my shoe and he responded, \don't need pay then\ and I walked out. My 180.00 shoe became trash in his hand. Will never go there again and not recomended for anyone.
As usual, excellent quick service. Had 1 boot stretched and have several more to bring in. I won't trust my suede and my leather footwear anywhere but Boston!
