Just recently moved to Fort Polk and after reading reviews was scared to move in. I arrived to Fort Polk with no car, the Corvias representative was nice to give me a ride to the house for the walk through and back to in and out processing. I was given a newer home in dogwood. The house had some maintenance issues from not being used for almost 4 months according to neighbors such as heater not working in the bedrooms, no hot water, and pest control but put in work request and within the next day or 2 the problem was fixed. Kids in neighborhood have been really welcoming to my kids.

Our house and front yard were infested with fleas. Begged housing to come out and spray. They accused us of having pets at the house and lying about having them to avoid paying the fee. Our house and yard were literally infested and WE HAD NO ANIMALS. We had to pay for someone to come out and spray, then housing finally realized we really had no pets in our house. The absolute worst experience I've ever had with housing.

Would rather have my children live in a meth lad with Bill Cosby making pudding every night, than live here any longer.

To be fair, Corvias on Fort Polk was always good to us. They are way more understanding that NCBC Gulfport! They really suck

We are former military turned contractor for Fort Polk. Being a contractor, my husband qualifies for post housing. Maintenance has always been fast for anything we needed so i give 5 stars for them but will have to take stars back for the following reasons: *Contractors can not use the commisary or P/X. *We had a family situation where our family grew by 3 in July. Since we are now a 6 person family I went to the Covias to see if we could get into a bigger place since one bathroom and 2 bedrooms were not enough. They said we could and gave us a list of things they would need. Copies of legal papers, pay stubs, and a pre-inspection of our current quarters prior to moving. All that was completed by late August. They then said we didn't qualify financially so. I went there today with 4 pay stubs to show that we do. Once I produced the numbers the manager then told me that we in fact do qualify for a larger unit but will have to wait till the lease is up (January) before we can move. If i must wait till our lease is up, I'll just leave Corvias. 3 months of running around for nothing! A case of too many chiefs and not enough indians (I'm native American so I can say that)? Perhaps. My husband is a chaplain candidate and will become Active duty again soon so I don't think we will ever return to on post housing ever again. Weigh your options!
