This was such a great experience. I am planning a trip for the family next year and we are definitely going back! Highly recommend going with cotters sled dog rides if you are in Fairbanks or the North Pole. Not to mention you get a good bang for your buck here!

What a great experience! My wife and boys loved meeting the dogs, spending time, taking pictures and enjoying the sled ride. Bill also gave us a pelt to keep the boys warm, then we spent time in their authentic log cabin where we sat by the fire, drank cocoa and hear stories of his races! Best place and WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!!!

This has been something I have wanted to do since I moved up to Alaska ten years ago. Bill gave us an amazing experience and it was worth every penny we paid. Wish I had done it sooner.

Wow wow wow! We had an amazing time in our sled dog tour! Bill was informative, hospitable and showed us a great time! We were lucky enough to see the new puppies and got to meet all of the dogs! I would recommend this tour to anyone!

The best experience ever! Bill and his wife are simply great and they have 35 lovely dogs. The 1h ride tour was super fun and what I appreciated the most was the care they have for the dogs. They do love their dogs and you can see and feel it. After the ride they offered us some tea and home made cookies and Bill told us about his adventures as a sled racing champion. Just great!!! Totally worth it!

Best thing I've ever done was take a sled dog tour with the amazing Cotter Sled Dogs and their owners Bill and Marlin Cotter. We felt 100% safe on their sleds, the dogs amazed me with their grace and intelligence. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. The Cotters are fantastic at what they do, their hospitality makes you feel like you've just spent a day with family. We are making this our new Christmas tradition and we wouldn't go anywhere else but Cotters Kennels. If anyone Is looking for an experience they will never forget, a true Alaskan adventure and the site of a winter wonderland, then you must book a tour. It's a moment in time you will never forget. Thanks also to Angelina for being the guide for my mom, you charmed her and she wont ever forget your kindness and grace. Kudos Cotters and Angelina

What an experience! Took our two little ones on a very cold day. We had all of our own gear, but they had extra for us that we didn’t know we would need. Kids got wrapped up in a caribou hide to stay warm! Bill was an excellent sled guide, stopping for photo ops and making it a great experience. The dogs were friendly and excited to pull. We came back from our 30 min trip (perfect length for small ones on a cold day) to hot chocolate and fresh baked muffins which were delicious. The hospitality was unmatched and would recommend Cotters to everyone. Definitely worth the extra miles from Fairbanks. This is a must do while in Alaska!

My son and I ADORED the time we spent in the company of Bill and his family. While they offer short sled-dog rides for the uninitiated, Bill also offers week-long training for those interested in exploring the art of mushing, which is what we opted for. Bill's expertise, combined with the gracious hospitality of his wife and son, made this the most joyful learning adventure we've ever had. I cannot possibly recommend an outfitter more highly. A!
