You can enter the building and see exhibit, but sometimes the exhibition closes for private event, so you must check the website! (I cannot visit the exhibition because of closure for private event..but you can racing cars from outside!)

We had this on our itinerary for a day in Indy. It looked amazing online, but was really just okay. My husband and I took two 12 year olds and thought it might be a fun and interactive experience for them. There isn't much to the museum - just some cars (which are cool) and then a few race car driving games, which didn't work too well and the iRacing interactive models were inoperable. There wasn't really anything \hands on\ for the kids to do. We looked at all the exhibits in about 15 minutes. The tour was scheduled at 1pm, so we left and came back for it. It was nice and informative and the movie was interesting they showed prior to entering the factory. Racecar enthusiasts will enjoy much more than the average race fan. We don't regret going, it just didn't match our expectations. The entry fee was nominal; which made it okay.

Don't waste your money. Boy (with glasses) working (I use working lightly) was lazy. He was slouched back in a seat behind the desk playing on his phone. Said he would turn on the film in the theatre and never did. Simulators were not working (not even plugged in).
