I like this place. But sometimes its not always good to get your hair braided from all the women in there. What i mean is i went there in August. My hair was braided so tight that the top part of my hair was shed out. So just be careful who is braiding your hair.

Not very professional the entire time I was getting my hair done there was kids running around and her girlfriend was all over her and steady asking if she was done yet. I paid extra for length and to get medium size braids and braids varied in sizes throughout my head and after only a week were already slipping out of my hair. I guess I should’ve known something was wrong when she didn’t even post pictures of her work on her page.

They do okay but this last time my braids started to unravel after I'd washed them a few times. It had only been like a week. They braid super tight but it looks good

I want to start off by saying these women know how to braid. They are neat and they pretty much give you what you want. However, my experience taught me that their character is definitely questionable. 1.) I priced my braids a week before and they told me 330. I came back the day of to get the braids, one of the ladies I spoke to was there but she didn’t remember me—she told me they would cost 400 instead. NOPE. I reminded her that she had already told me 330. She agreed. 2.) before I sat down I asked if my (short, tapered hair) would be long enough to braid. She said yes. They (3 ladies) went to work on my head. It was around 9am. We finished in 6-7 hours. 3.) When I was done I was hurting really bad. The braids were SUPER tight—just a heads up. But then she told me that the back row would probably fall out if I “wasn’t careful” because my hair was “so short” back there.........Then they charged me 350 dollars after we had already agreed to 330 on the day before (both women that I spoke to at the pricing were there to do my hair and they BOTH changed the price). And NOW I have lost more than 15 braids and it has only been a little over a week. MIND YOU, the braids that I lost were not only in the back where they said but also in some spots where my hair is the longest. Disclaimer: I used Xpression Kanekalon hair that by told me to get. I did not soak it in the apple cider mixture. I was extremely itchy so I had to spray it on and then wash my hair which also might have loosened the braids. I still believe after all the pain that I felt from how tight they braid, the braids should have stayed in. But you decide for yourself.

I had to take my braids out after one week. My scalp was red, enflamed, itchy and my scalp was coming out. The combination of the off-brand hair they use, the fact that their hands were NOT clean (later I noticed there was no soap in the bathroom) and they braid TOO tight resulted in pieces of my hair and scalp falling out. Sure the braids look ok, but if you want to have hair after a month it's just not worth it.

Worst place ever! Had my daughter's hair done for 200.00. Her twisty was too tight. Shortly after getting her hair done, two twisties completly unrivaled. Her real hair is spiking of the twisties. Yes. The worst hot mess I've ever seen. Now I wonder the girl who did her hair even had license to do so. She looked pretty young. I mean. Really. It looked like somebody off the street did her hair. It looks nice for a beginnger. But it don't look professionally done. So be very caution about going to place. Go to Hair by Rose on West Bellfort and Fondren. They do an awesome job. They only charge 160.00 bucks and does a beautiful job. HBR my first choice in the first place but they had someone already there for the time slot I needed to get out in time for another engagement. Next time it'll be worth the wait. (SMH) shame on me!
