No appreciation for staff or empathy for their residents. The building is infested with bedbugs, filled with Incompetent nurses who thrive on the residents lack of knowledge. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone that I remotely care about.

Worst facility I've seen in a long time. My father, who had dementia, fell 3 times. A nurse told a family member that she told him that he couldn't get up. What? He had dementia!! How would he remember? Then, my father had passed away but the nurse, can't remember her name but she's African and works on nights, told my family that she heard a faint heartbeat. He was already in full rigor! Smh.. I'm honestly surprised that this facility is still standing. They need to seriously be investigated. The only good thing about this place is that it's located near a hospital, for quick transport for inevitable patient injuries. KEEP YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS AWAY IF YOU CAN! PLEASE!

(I'm using my friends account to write this review) Im supposed to be on medication and with out it I'm at risk for falling. When I went to the nurses station to speak to them about an unrelated health problem I started to black out and had to sit on the floor. They refused to call the doctor and I had to walk back to my room without assistance. I spoke to the doctor 4 days prior and he said he was gonna write my prescription but then he left without actually doing it. The staff yells at people when they ask for help with the tiniest task. One social worker named Edwina loves to start fights, between the patients and the staff.

Sad place. My mom was here for 18 days in Jan. She was told that this was a rehabilitation center and that they would care for her. She was in stage 4 cancer and was trying to get better for chemo...that never happened. She passed Feb 1st. We constantly pushed the staff to watch over her. She wasn't getting enough food so they started her on Ensure... about a 2oz serving. That was not enough to help with her nutrition. I was constantly bringing her food and drinks. Unresponsive doctors... over worked staff. .. although one young lady was helpful,(believe her name was Diamond ) so many others turned their backs on her. My aunt and myself kept constant contact with my mom, visiting often...but we pushed the staff over and over to check on her. .. she couldn't do anything for herself anymore and needed help. The sad thing is, they complained that my mom was being rude or pushy, but she actually was going through terminal restlessness!! No one was able to diagnose her except for Hospice... they ignored her. She went to Ingalls on a Sunday morning and when we came up to Alden Heather to get her things, they had already cleaned her stuff out and NOONE could tell us where her belongings were. We were up there 3 times to get her stuff.... In 3 days mom was gone and we still had to wait for them to find her belongings.... Disgraceful place!! People don't want to be placed in a nursing home.. I can't think of anyone who says, take me there and leave me there... nope... but if they must be there, TAKE CARE OF THEM!!! I looked at this post again to see if there were any responses a year later and I see that the OWNER responded to everyone but me. Interesting, since this place put us through hell. I pray that you can take care of your loved ones better than you took care of my mother. I wish Gods blessings upon you and hope and pray that no one ever has to deal with what we had to.
