Great food!!! Well prepared. Clean restaurant. Friendly staff. Fair prices. Generous servings. Fast service. They also have an African store that sells dashikis (made in Taiwan, go figure ), other articles of clothing, and soaps, body butters, jewelery items and other things. I had a great meal. I ate it in a relaxing environment while pulling over from a long day of driving. I got a hot dashiki for 10! Sounds like a bunch of wins is you ask me. Whether you're passing through on a road trip like I was, or you're a local, definitely check them out please.

I took a chance and ordered from here based on the high rating it received. I figured if 300 people like this place then it must be halfway decent. I ordered the fried flounder with candied yams, Mac n cheese, and the rice and gravy. Ila Mae's exceeded my expectations in all the right ways. The staff was super cool. My portion size was more than enough and the price was reasonable. The flavors though.... The flavors were on point! Everything was delicious! When the sauce from the yams hit my Mac n cheese I lost my mind. That's that good good right there! I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.
