Very convenient to use. It's very easy and quick to book a car, even minutes before you need to use it. The price is very reasonable, competitive to car rental companies even when renting by the day. Account opening and pausing are very quick and convenient. Customer service is excellent. Someone is always there to answer emails within the hour.

Rates seem high. I recently did a 150 mile round trip with a 24 hour rental from Budget. This cost me under 65 after including fuel and insurance. In other cities, had I been able to use a Zip car, this would have cost about 80. With Ithaca car share it seems it would have cost approximately 5*16 2.50*8 150*0.3 145.

I'm a huge fan of this service. We have a single economy size family vehicle, and Ithaca Carshare is part of what makes that feasible (combined with TCAT). If the car breaks down or needs service, we need to haul more people or large items, or we have a scheduling conflict, the \just-in-case\ level membership is perfect, and has been saving us money and headaches for over a year. They're doing a great job handling the COVID-19 situation as well.
