Cold Moon Farm is a home away from home. Ed and Irene are perfect hosts who welcome you into their home as if you have been friends for a lifetime. From the moment we arrived to the time we had to leave, there was nothing that wasn't attended to. Each morning you're welcomed downstairs with a cup of hot coffee and a breakfast that is as varied as it is delicious. Sara is the resident chef who brilliantly fuses together all of their locally sourced eggs, bacon and milk with freshly baked bread, to help you start your day's next adventure. Ed and Irene are anchors of the community and can answer any question you may from where the best skiing its to what is the best restaurant in town. If you ask nicely, Ed can probably pull some strings to get you that impossible table reservation too. It is all good at Cold Moon

My family and I went skiing last weekend and stayed at Ed and Irene's stunning B&B! Here is a full breakdown: -The house was gorgeous, decorated in an inviting and warm country style featuring lush beds and superb amenities. - The estate itself is huge (25 acres) with a farm- meaning fresh organic goodies. - Ed & Irene are the most sweetest and hospitable people on the planet. Along with their small team, they cook a hearty and delicious breakfast! You can also purchase meats, cheeses, and other farm goodies from Irene. The candied jalapenos and jowls are a must! -Don't forget to ask Ed for his dinner and lunch recommendations- this man knows what he's talking about. - I recommend cold moon farm to anyone who is looking for great food and an inviting atmosphere. I seriously can't wait to come back. Ed and Irene are amazing people. Thank you for truly making it an unforgettable weekend.

Had an amazing time staying with Ed and Irene at their beautiful home. The main room is an amazing place to relax and hang out with friends and watch TV on the 130 inch projector. We also had a big TV downstairs to use for ourselves. Food in the morning was great. Fresh eggs from the chickens and cheese from the goats. Lox, homemade breads and bagels. We also spent some time with the goats, sheep and chickens. There is a outdoor hot tub right outside on the porch and Ed was very helpful and even warmed it up to 104 degrees before we came so it would be hot when we got there. Overall this is an amazing place to stay with friends and family if you are coming to Stratton to Ski.

From the second I drove up being welcomed by one of the most authentic warm couples I could imagine meeting, I felt as if I was home. When I entered into the main area/kitchen/living room I was taken by the beautiful view of the mountains and this homey kitchen vibe...the beds were comfortable, the fresh home farm grown breakfast fantastic (home made yogurt/fresh breads/butter/pastries), and the overall feeling just like nothing I ever experienced. Totally unexpected! Ed and Irene spent some time showing us the farm, we got to milk the goats and chill with the dogs and by the time we left I truly felt like they had become family. I'm definitely coming back!
