I had to put my wife into this place temporarily while she semi healed from back surgery to a point she could come home. Upon arriving, the place looks beautiful giving personal solstice that this place is going to be the right place to accommodate personal rehabilitation. Once the beauty fades reality comes full face. My wife got cold while laying in bed she asked for an electric blanket only to be told she wouldnt be allowed to have one ( period ) not even if I brought her one. She needed a heating pad to comfort her spine ( NOPE ) not even if a doctor allowed such for comfort. The place has no microwaves for any patients regardless the individual competency. No hair dryers are allowed forget that. The food is horrible and they seem to disregard expiration codes when serving portions I brought my wife food daily while she was there because she couldn't eat the food she was served it was that bad. Basically this place isn't as good as it portrays based on first observation. Management regarding patient comfort is abysmal and strives for a one glove fit all mentality. This place isnt recommended from my standpoint regardless how beautiful the structure and grounds look.

If I could, I would give them no stars. The place is beautiful. But the food is awful and they served out of date codes on my tray. The staff courtesy and kind. But cleanliness was not there. The equipment they drag from room to room is never cleaned or sanitized between patients... the blood pressure machine and the weigh scale.. for example. I said something about it and they told they were not a hospital. The other thing they have a bus, but not a drive... tha ride home cost me 50.00... to add insult to injury I ended up with a terrible cold. I go tomorrow to see my doctor. Needed to add there were NO recliners. If I wanted my legs elevated I had to stay in bed.

My mother was admitted after a fall in our home. The first thing I noticed was the beauty of the place. A long hall with an elegant dining room, libraries, and administrative offices, I thought it was a hotel! I then met mom's care nurses and they were so kind and compassionate, I knew she was in a good place. She received physical therapy, and they generally kept her pretty busy. She improved quite a bit under their care and generally felt sad to leave!

Communication with patient's family is horrible. There does not seem to be accurate information given to all persons involved in a patient's care. The case manager says one thing, the social worker another, the RNNP another, the doctor another. Communication skills need to be improved and the employees need to learn how to deal with an angry family rather than trying to cover their bum.
