Such a lovely and relaxing place. The proprietor was kind and inviting to my husband and I for our stay for my husbands birthday. I would highly recommend! We will be going back when the restaurant is able to open. Thank you for your hospitality !

We loved our stay at Prospect Hill! We've been hearing about it for years. We were deciding between various options in the area to celebrate our anniversary, and we chose this one because I wanted to experience the breakfast, which did not disappoint! I'm a huge eggs benedict fan, and the sauce was so delicious. The Carriage House was cozy, especially with a fire roaring in the fireplace. We also enjoyed walking the grounds and nature trail and visiting the animals. Doc was a great host!
My husband and I had a wonderful getaway on Feb 14. Doc is a great host and showed and told us about the history of their property, originated from the first cabin built by original owner in the early 1700s. The landscape was perfect after a few days of snow, and we walked around towards the stables with 2 beautiful horses and 3 alpacas. Fun. There is a grand piano in the living room where I played a few songs. The breakfast, chef's choice, was beautifully delivered to the room. The swimming pool will be open on June 1st, so this could be a great getaway in the summer as well. Thank you for your hospitality.
We really enjoyed our stay at Prospect Hill. The atmosphere is quaint and inviting. It was nice to warm up next to a cozy fireplace after a walk around the beautiful snow-covered grounds. Doc was an excellent host and generous with his time explaining the fascinating history of the property. We will definitely be back.
I can't say enough WONDERFUL things about Prospect Hill, and Doc, the owner. The history, the grounds, the accommodations, the staff, the service....I could go on & on. I have been to many VA B&Bs, and Prospect Hill ranks as my top choice along with the Inn at Willow Grove. The animals made it even more special...two dogs about five friendly cats, two amazing dogs, two horses and three alpaca. Doc was so friendly and warm, and we loved learning about all of the history of Prospect Hill. Breakfast was so delicious, and the fireplace in the room added such a touch. If you are looking for a special place with the most beautiful grounds and over-the-top service and accommodations, Prospect Hill is it.
