Good shop - they have always had a super quick turnaround on little work, like looking at a squeak or a creak. Good customer service and they have bars and gels and other snacks, as well as clothing and accessories like bike baskets, seats, gloves, glasses, etc. recommend going here if you’re a new or an experienced cyclist!

Told me they were selling me a used bike with a brand new frame (used components). After careful inspection of said \brand new\ frame, my boyfriend and I found a large ding (not scratch, it was a quarter size indent in the middle of this frame). When we pressed the salesman about it, he said that it was \cosmetic.\ Difference of opinion on what constitutes a cosmetic scratch aside, this was clearly not a brand new frame as promised. We tried to get the price lowered as a result of this damage, but they refused. This surprised us because this damaged, used bike, was priced higher than the new version from the manufacturer. Overall, we definitely got the sense that we were being slightly scammed and that they did not have our best interest in mind.

Messed up my bike, then quoted more than I paid for it to fix it. Had a bike I rode for over 6 years with 0 problems. Took it to Velo Bike Shop to have new pedals installed. They told me most of bike parts are mismatched and need to be replaced. I've agreed to partially replace some (rear wheel in particular) but not all because it was too expensive and I didn't see a good reason to replace parts that were already working fine... Next day I take it for a ride, as I am starting uphill transmission just explodes with bolts and gears flying in all directions. They quote me more than what I paid for it. Sure could be a bad coincidence, or maybe they haven't tightened everything properly after replacing rear wheel - who knows? But I am now 200 down and have a broken bike. They refused to provide any discount, just shrugged their shoulders and told me I should've replaced everything on the list (and transmission wasn't even on that list).
