I accidentally made an appointment here while trying to make an appointment with our usual vet. They were very responsive and understanding when I had to cancel. They even checked on him after his appointment with our usual vet! Not my proudest moment but I had to share just how kind they were!

They spend a great deal of time taking care of your pets. They understand everybody is not rich. Great receptionist! Doctor is detailed in conversations.

I brought my dog to be seen at South Granville Animal Hospital. The 2 receptionists were very apathetic and had NO MASKS despite the statewide mask mandate. They had the attitudes of teenage girls that would rather be anywhere else. I was very uncomfortable with the lack of Covid precautions as well as their unprofessional attitudes. We left without being seen.

I am so glad my husband and I decided to take our cat to South Granville from the first phone call to us walking out the door they made us feel welcomed and always assured us that we could do it or that we made the right decisions. We took our cat in on Friday afternoon because he had became unable to walk on his back legs from the second the doctor walked in she knew his back didn’t look right. The doctor knew we didn’t have thousands of dollars to spend and never made us feel bad for not being able to. She took X-ray to confirm that he had a fracture in his back and she explained to us that it would be a very long road ahead and that sometimes they don’t heal well without the surgery. We talked over our options and since the fracture wasn’t bad she said we would give it a week and see how he did. We took him home excited that we didn’t have to put him down and we would get the chance to try to help him. After 5 days I knew he was getting no better in fact he was getting worse. I called to ask what they thought I needed to do the doctor asked that I bring him in for her to look at him. She came right in and checked Smokey out and assured us we had done an amazing job but he was making no progress and he was in a lot of pain even with the pain medication. She told us this wasn’t a quality of life for our sweet Smokey and he was in pain. The best thing for him would be to put him to sleep. We knew this was best for him and that it would be very hard for our family to do but after all we did enjoy the last 5 days more than ever with Smokey and thanked god for allowing us more time with Smokey. They let us spend as much time as we wanted with him and never rushed us. We are very thankful for SGAH and would recommend them to anyone who is in need!! Thank you for helping us in a time of need and being able to say all the right words to help us with this hard time!!!
