Jessica is a great language teacher and Chinese is a fun language to learn. I have only spent about 40 hours over the last 8 months studying Chinese but in that time I have become very comfortable reading and writing Chinese. A few things that I like about her lessons compared to other language classes I have been in: -I have spoken in person to dozens of Chinese people and Jessica is by far the best at understanding my atrocious foreigner accent. You'd be surprised how many people either don't understand or pretend not to understand if you don't get the tone exactly right. -She is very flexible with scheduling/communication. Since I am busy with work and travel this is a huge plus. -She will teach you whatever you want. Slang? Travel? Food? No problem. But if you have nothing in mind, she can draw up a suitable lesson plan. -I am pretty shy/introverted so I appreciate the relaxed environment and friendly conversation, as opposed to being in a large class.
