I had the absolute best birth experience at The Birth House. The Around The Circle midwife group was incredible. The rooms were clean, inviting and comfortable. I loved laboring and being able to deliver in the tub. They also have nitrous oxide to help with pain relief if you need it. My care was so great and I was so comfortable in the tub that I didn’t even need it. They had all the equipment, medications and knowledge to make me feel safe like I was delivering in a hospital with all the comforts and freedom of a home birth. It was the perfect middle ground for my family. I would highly recommend The Birth House to anyone wanting an out of hospital birth. I had two babies birthed at The Birth House.... Both were excellent experiences. We chose this place after a traumatic experience at Providence St. Peter with our first where the placenta wasn't delivered in a time with which they were comfortable (Hospitals have strict metrics they have to meet, everything is a just an entry in a database) and my wife had to have it surgically removed - we ended up staying 3 days and it was a horrible cold experience. At The Birth House we were in and out within 6 hours with both births and in that time they were amazingly responsive, caring and amenable to any demands we had around the birthing process. It was a beautiful experience compared to the overly strict approach which you may experience in America's health care system. The regular visits before the births were pleasant, relaxed and extremely focused on the well being of the mom and baby. Please, if you are in good health, look at The Birth House before a traditional hospital.
We chose to receive prenatal care at The Birth House and it was one of the greatest decisions we made for the birth of our child! I always felt heard and nurtured at my appointments with each midwife, and always walked away feeling like I had learned something new and made a connection. When we gave birth Kathrine Sanderson was the midwife on call and she did a wonderful job monitoring me and baby during labor. After the birth Katherine did a great job following up with me for postpartum care. If you’re thinking about planning an out of hospital birth, The Birth House will provide you exceptional care and consideration!
I have to say, this place and the staff are amazing, generous with their care and time! I was so fortunate that Katherine Sanderson was on call for both of my deliveries! She was so professional and caring through the prenatal care appointments, the birthing process and the postpartum care as well! We have been so blessed to be a part of the care offered here. Highly recommended and we hope to be able to use them in the future!
I delivered my baby girl here with Carolee about 2 months ago. My experience was nothing less then perfect. All the midwifes were so helpful, sweet and informative. Everything from the start was exactly what I had hoped for during this journey. They really helped me be able to do it the way I wanted to and experience it all so peacefully the way you should be able to. I will definitely be coming back here when I have more kids. 10 outta 10 recommend!
