Met a friend here for Thirsty Thursday happy hour. Service was top notch. The bartender and bartenderess offered plenty of suggestions for drinks and apps. The crab dip did not disappoint. I also happened to try my first ever old fashioned from the fancy menu section. The ice cube has orange in it. We also had two beers (left hand milk stout) to hold us over until the next spot. Guinness-like. Very smooth. Very nice. Great spot. Not crowded either.
The food is pretty standard but no happy hour specials, which really sucks considering they used to and almost every bar in old town does especially during the week. The bar owner/manager, I’m not sure sure which one he is because he never introduced himself to me even though he did to other patrons, isn’t very friendly and the service is definitely lacking. There’s way better bars with phenomenal service to check out in old town and The Light Horse definitely ranks low of my list of return establishments.
There Smoked chicken wings are the best in old town. Been there twice and the service seems consistently good.
Light Horse never fails to bring a smile to my face. Sarah is one of the best bar tenders in town, and she always makes you feel welcome. Be careful of the frozen drink of the day, especially if it's grape. It'll creep up on you!
