It's a small and cozy airport. I never see an airport so cozy. In the gate area you can see all whole area, two gates! I thought comparing to the traffic I saw at Tyler, the airport is too small comparing to the city?

Tyler needs a real airport! I can't believe that they shutdown for days because of some snow and freezing temperatures. Will Tyler not spring for equipment to keep the airport running. What a podunk place.

The security at this airport has an over-inflated since of self-importance and will go through everything you own regardless of how it’s packed. Other airports don’t check every single food item you bring onboard unless it’s made of liquid or gel. There’s no reason for that. I would say it’s less of a hassle than driving to Dallas, but I personally think it’s worth it to wait in a normal security line. I actually dread having to deal with the TSA every single time I fly out of Tyler. Sure they are nice enough, but it comes off as patronizing to someone who’s been through it all before over and over. I’ve never missed a flight despite their extreme lack of personnel on sight so that’s good, I guess.

Resturant was GREAT!! Security is rediculious!! They asked me 4 times if I was being \tricky\. Guess tattoos are too much for these hilbillies. Otherwise a great way to escape Tyler. Terminal is clean.
