It was awful. I was lured in with them knowing my circumstances and financial abilities. I told them repeatedly not to waste my time or theirs but they promised me to get me in a newer car with lower miles and lower my payment and after 3 hours they told me I needed 4000 then 2000 then 500 then they could do nothing this is the 2nd time in 6 or 8 months they have done this thanks for embareasing me again

My employee purchased a car and spent the extra money to buy "gap" insurance to cover her loan in case the car got totaled. Most car dealers use an outside company to insure the "gap" but Steven Motor group insures themselves. So when she wrecked the car, she has to deal with Steven to try to get them to pay her bank the difference between her loan and what the insurance paid for the totaled car- the "gap'. Even though she is paying a fortune for the gap insurance, she is young and was going to give up, because no one would return her calls or help her with her claim (they sure "helped" sell her the gap insurance- she didn't even know she had it or what it was). So as her boss, I took on the cause. I have never gotten a bigger stonewall in my life, and believe me I have dealt with a lot of shady businesses. I filed with the Kansas Insurance commissioner, wrote e mails, and left more messages than I can count. When I get a live person, they tell me they are going to transfer me and then hang up. I finally found that the name of the person who is in charge of these claims is a guy named Greg Anderson. No way he will take any of our calls or return any of the multiple messages we have left. They are stonewalling both of us to see if they can get out of a legitimate claim. Meanwhile, she has to keep paying her gap insurance with her car payment to stay current and have a chance to collect what she is owed. We live four hours away, or we would both be sitting on their curb with signs warning everyone about this dealer. Right now I have my attorney working on it. I will keep you posted if we ever get anyone to return our calls. Don't trust this place, especially for any extra insurance they are trying to sell you. They say that the founder Eddy Steven built the business on honesty and integrity- I wish he were alive to return my calls.
