A Wedding Weekend to Remember! The Lilac Inn is a magical place in a cute historical town in Vermont. The owners Shelly and Doug and their staff made our wedding weekend a memorable everlasting experience. Ashley was so helpful in planning and helping us stay organized with Shelly. We had a wedding of 107 in the ballroom with the ceremony outside. They are dog friendly so our dogs were part of the ceremony. Our bridal party and parents were able to stay at the Lilac Inn on Friday and Saturday nights, which made setup so easy along with having everything in one location. We also decided to get our First Look photos done here in the back gardens where there's a pond and beautiful gardens. We cannot thank them enough, and we cannot wait to come back to visit and take weekend getaways for years to come.

We stayed in the Grand Suite/"Brides Chambers" for 2 nights and loved it. The bed was comfortable, the spacious room was immaculate, and with the romance package we were greeted with a bottle of champagne, chocolates, a cheese and fruit tray, and two plush bathrobes. Our favorite feature was the fireplace in which they provided us with wood (and some additional at our request, thank you!) There was also a beautiful walk in shower, dual showerheads and an additional attachment with corner seating. Great attention to detail. The building was apparently originally built in 1909 and is rich in history. Besides the beautiful architecture, we wish we would have checked out the main floor more. The breakfast came included and we were greeted with fresh fruit (at the end of December!!), warm coffee cake, and our choice of eggs any style, or blueberry pancakes. Everything was wonderful. Shirley and Doug were so very accommodating. We normally stay closer to the killington area to ski but the 40 minute drive to the slopes is well worth it. We would ABSOLUTELY return.

The Lilac Inn is a lovely place to stay. The owner, Shelly, is warm and welcoming, the room was comfortable and the breakfast was tasty! We hope to return for a longer stay next time!

Truly a phenomenal location and staff! We got married at The Lilac Inn last month and cannot say enough good things about them. Shelly and her family and team know what they are doing and they do it so well. Every one of our guests complimented us on how beautiful and perfect our venue was. They were a joy to work with and made us feel confident and secure with having them as part of our special day. Plus the food is absolutely delicious!

Where do you start with the lilac inn...first Doug and Shelley are incredible hosts and very welcoming and friendly. The grounds are serene and immaculate. All 9 guest rooms are just like the grounds outside beautiful, warm, and have every accommodation that you would expect plus some. There are multiple coffee station located around the inn, a library with a decent selection of books and movies. A great little copper top bar, but the topper is an incredible breakfast. When you stay here you get the perfect combination of old world charm/elegance and that Vermont warmth that you are looking for. Also there are plenty of new places around town to see as you eat and hike your way through VT.

Went to a wedding there. Very nicely done. Great appetizers and okay meal. Brunch the next morning was very good.
