Since 1986 it has been the favored location of hundreds of very special & unique Weddings, Family Reunions, Vacations, & Retreats. The Farm consists of the Haid House and the Black Bear Lodge. The Haid House: This is a large 1860’s hand-hewn log home with two full bedrooms, along with a sun room containing a full-size pull out sleeper. The living and dining rooms both have wood burning fireplaces. There are 1 & 1/2 baths. Gas heat, A/C, and modern kitchen with full sized refrigerator and separate freezer make your stay comfortable. A huge, screened-in deck with large fireplace and supplemental gas heaters, hot tub and an outside grill help you entertain and relax. The Black Bear Lodge: A high quality, reassembled, civil war era home located on a hilltop over-looking the Haid House contains three bedrooms and three baths, along with a modern kitchen, and a large comfortable porch with a panoramic view of the mountains and countryside. The Black Bear is for lodging only – no groups or parties here. It is included in the Standard Wedding Package along with 128 chairs and 18 tables. It can be added to the Small Wedding Package for an additional $6000 which includes tables and chairs in the barn for up to 50 guests. There are no cooking or cleaning facilities at the Barn, so it is only available to those renting the Haid House. We provide one port-o-potty at the Barn for the convenience of guests. It has special remote-controlled LED effects lighting to make your event special.
