Their falafel taste like heaven Kind and generous staff. We got shawarma platter and falafel. Very recommended.
Love this place. Their half roasted chicken with rice, salad and hummus is my favorite. The garlic sauce is great, the falafel is good but not the best.
Falafel Island is my favorite lunch spot! It's a huge plate of delicious food for less than 10 in The Loop--you can't beat that. It's sometimes a little busy, but the line moves fast. Update as of July 2018: Still five stars. The quality of the food is better than it was, and the new management is doing great. It seems there are still a couple of service issues that are being worked through, but overall still a delicious lunch at a great price.
The quality of the food has gone down my last 2 visits. There must of bee a change of management. I've been going to this place for 2yrs and I know longer see the usual staff. Seems to be new or someone new the past 3 visits. Even my coworkers say they do not want to eat here anymore or recommend. It used to be a good value for your money. Now its overpriced for below avg food. Their specials are no long specials. The only thing special about them is the price has increased by 2.
I enjoy having lunch at this place. The food is great and the people working behind the counter are friendly. I have a hard time understanding the servers sometimes but they are nice. The food is great. I like the meat combo, it's only 7.99 and free water :)..What not to like.
Eat here quite often, large portions, and home cooked, lots of food for the money. The food is authentic and very filling. The guys that work there are very friendly. Great food! Very happy.
Couple years ago, this place was my go-to lunch spot after class. Now it’s not even mediocre to me. Quality of food has PLUMMETED. Last time I visited, my rice was dry, my sausage was sooooooo over cooked, and my hummus was way too runny. Sad to see what a nice place turned out to be. Oh, and employees really don’t want to be there; and they will make it VERY visible
