I went to the Seton ER today for an eye injury and was very pleased with the care I received. I was screened for covid and then immediately taken into a room where I spoke with the nurse, then the doctor. They listened to me and I was actually cared for. On top of that I was finished in about 2 hours which is pretty darned quick for an emergency room. I am very grateful and would recommend coming here if you happen to need ER care.

My mother is currently here being treated for minor stroke symptoms. She was admitted to the back and her lab work was immediately taken. We noticed immediately that the nurse and staff here are a bit unprofessional and unsympathetic. All of that put aside, my main issue and concerns are in regards to the sanitation of the patients rooms. We came after the lab work was drawn and as I inspected the room I took notice to the blood splattered all over the cart and walls, and on top of the cart is a syringe full of blood. I’m mortified and disgusted, we don’t know if this is my mother in laws blood or another patient’s, but regardless this is insanitary and nasty. Take your time and drive your loved ones to a decent, CLEAN, and professional facility and seek medical attention there. Avoid this place by all means!

I don't have a problem with the service here. The doctors and the nurses were great and really empathetic. However, I do believe they need to investigate their billing services because when I was there a few months ago, one of the nurses stated that my insurance covered everything. Then for some reason I received a bill for over 800. I was freaking out at first, but put two and two together and realized something wasn't right. Based on the services I received I knew my insurance covered it. So several weeks ago I decided to request an itemized bill of all charges, while still receiving mail about this medical bill. When I asked for this itemized bill, the 800 charge was dismissed due to a missing description, but it shows it was dismissed just 2 days after the original medical bill was charged which doesn't make sense because I could still access the bill and was receiving mail regarding the bill weeks and months after (now it doesn't). This also happened to a friend of mine as well. Something is up, so I suggest they check that out because I'm sure I'm not the only one, and I know if I didn't think to ask for the itemized bill they would have taken that money, no questions asked. So someone needs to check on that.

The squeaky wheel gets the oil! I relearned this valuable lesson after waiting 5 hours to be discharged for flu like symptoms. Literally 30 people that arrived after me came and went before I did. I waited hours for the results of each test they gave me. Really I was just waiting for someone to take one minute to tell me the results. It would have made much more sense to run multiple simple tests up front instead of lying to me at every step, telling me each new test would take only 5-10 minutes to read and that I'd be going home soon. I was too understanding, so they just left me waiting for 5 hours while I was coughing up my lungs in the ER without meds. Then, they sent me to a pharmacy that was not 24 hours like they suggested. 4 hours in, the one time I asked what was going on--I'd been told over an hour ago, they'd have me out in 10 minutes--the nurse told me he couldn't hold me against my will. Super constructive. Terrible service. If you go here, don't be afraid to speak up or just plan on moving in. To the few people that had good service, you must have squeaky wheel written all over you, lol. The rich white lady with kids definitely had the fastest service of anyone that night.
