We didn't stay at the Inn. We had dinner there. The grounds of the Inn are lovely and I think it would be nice to hang out there on a nice afternoon. The restaurant, the Filibuster, is handsome and has a political theme. There is some political memorabilia there. The seating is very cozy with lots of nooks, some with upholstered booths. The wait staff was attentive. I had a lovely glass of Malbec. I had the cedar plank salmon, but honestly I think the plank was just for presentation. My husband had the baseball steak, which had a great texture, but tasted a bit like liver. Not sure why. I would recommend it for a special occasion due to the ambience. I would probably order a different meal next time.

I can not say enough about the care and customer service of the staff at the Kilmarnock Inn in Kilmarnock Virginia. From my first phone call to the last moments at the Inn we were made to feel like family. The manager Lindsey has a keen sense of hospitality and service. Her care and connection with us was genuine and above and beyond. I have been staying in Reedville starting in September when my father passed away. I had been away from my home in Atlanta and my partner of 14 years for three months and when he finally got to visit I wanted to do something special for us so I booked a two night stay at the Inn. Lindsey went out of her way to make this a special experience that he and I will never forget. I highly recommend the Kilmarnock Inn. Beautiful rooms, beautiful restaurant, in a beautiful setting with service that can not be beat! Lindsey and the Kilmarnock Inn will always have a very special place in our hearts.

Excellent bloody mary - not too spicy (i.e., Old Bay) but very tasty (both of them...) Brunch was excellent - shrimp & grits. Service was excellent, venue very nice (sat outside with beautiful weather) and even shared a couple of excellent desserts. Recommended.

I have not even checked out yet and I can promise you this is the cleanest, quaintess, best service you're going to find anywhere close to here. I am here on business and will return every visit! Superb!!

I write this review with pure selfish hesitation because I don't really want people to know about this, but I'm a local guide so I have to give it up. If you're going to Kilmarnock, you really should try to book at this Inn. We just stayed there because we wanted something better than just a cheap chain hotel. This place is well maintained and really charming. Rooms are modern inside and have great AC. The staff genuinely wants you to have a good stay. They have a complimentary breakfast that is first class, we were extremely pleased. Not a buffet, it has indoor or outdoor dining and you order from a menu. It's really well done. Egg's benedict with an option to add crab, the bacon is some sort of apple wood smoked and sweetened. Fresh made scones they just bring you while you're waiting. There's a full service bar and other amenities, this would appeal to mature travelers (That's us). We were in town for an event, but I want to come back and stay here and explore the little downtown of Kilmarnock which you can do on foot from this location Most of the restaurants here offer fresh fish and seafood fare as well as other casual offerings.
