Defender went above and beyond in meeting my expectation. The phone representative Tyler was very understanding of my concerns due to some lack of disclosures from the initial transactions just to get me in the contract. Then the day Manager Ms. Sunshine apologizes for the misunderstanding and made sure to correct any of it. I was impressed by how they value one customer at a time and making me feel important to them. I highly recommend Defender to anybody. Looking forward for a long business relationship with the Defender.

They are so eager to sign you up for new service, but once you are a customer they aren’t to eager to help you. They over charge you and transfer you from department to department when you have an issue. Then when you move, they want you to restart your contract for another 3 years and they want you to pay for extra equipment and always try to find a way to up sell you! I have had at Least 10 phone conversation with them in less than a week and the problems on the account still are not resolved. Very frustrated and terrible customer service!!
Well I was promised to get everything installed for free because I bought a new house , but the technician comes the next day and shows me different products. And tells me I have to pay for the stuff , which I did because my mom and dad is elderly and I want to make sure they are safe when I’m not home. Don’t promise people that you will install everything for free and charge them afterwards. Which is a scam!
Do NOT use this company. After speaking with a rep I was asked to provide my date of birth and last 4 digits of my social so they could confirm eligibility for the system. I asked if it was a soft credit check (like utility companies do) and was told yes it was. Guess what? 5 minutes later I get an email saying I have a hard inquiry on my Equifax credit report from Defender Security. So they lied! Also, they want a 99 fee just to send someone out to your house. I have no problem paying an install fee, truly. However, I have a problem paying for something before I even know the monthly rate (not an estimate of 25-55/month). They kept trying to justify the upfront fee by saying it's because they operate differently and that fee ensures the tech that comes out can do a same day install. I said I didn't care about a same day install, just send a salesman or something. They said that's not how their company operates. I could go on and on, but to sum it up... if you're thinking about using this company - don't do it.
The technician (Jeff) was very friendly. He had all the information about the plan I selected. He did a complete walk through of the house along with me and explained different security device needed for each and every room. He was very experienced and cooperative. He did give us the demo/training on the security system after installation. The complete process of activation and setting up the security system was smooth.
